a magazine dedicated to imperfection and disdainful of beauty
in all its forms. Decades later, the same philosophy would
propel Image Comics to the top of the sales charts! :-)
Actually, considering how often major comic
book "events" let down modern readers, one almost
wishes DC would return to this "reverse psychology"
approach. Promise people the worst, and whatever comes out
better is a pleasant surprise, right?
